Monthly Meditation at NBPL, Jan. 16

On Thursday, January 16th at noon, the North Bend Public Library will hold the first meeting of a monthly meditation program, Breathe at Noon. There is no cost, and no registration is needed. Meditation can be used to relieve stress, develop one’s attention span, and reduce tension. The National Institutes of Health’s National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health has studies indicating that there are several health benefits, including pain management and lowering blood pressure. The first program will feature Sailee Clemens, owner of Mossy Lotus Yoga. She will lead a meditation session focussing on breath and at the end of the meditation will answer questions on meditation practices. In future meetings, to be held on the third Thursday of each month, the meditation will use recorded music and podcasts.
