According to the latest newsletter South Coast Labor Trends, from the Oregon Employment Dept., “Coos County total payroll employment increased by 60 in April.” The report goes on to state that “manufacturing employment climbed by 60 over the month, 30 of that gain in food products. Leisure and hospitality continued its seasonal upturn, gaining 50 jobs over the month. Over the year, payroll employment rose slightly with a gain of 30 jobs.” In Curry Co., “employment rose by 100 jobs in April. Leisure and hospitality had the largest share of the month’s gain, up by 50 jobs.”
