A 39-year old woman, who dropped a lit cigarette on a motel bed in Newport last year, will serve less than four years in prison following a guilty plea in a Lincoln Co. court on the Central Oregon Coast. Rebbeca Sinclair entered her guilty plea Tuesday regarding the City Center Motel fire on August 5, 2016 that killed four people. Sinclair was located in Washington State and extradited back to Oregon to face charges of Criminally Negligent Homicide, Reckless Burning, and Recklessly Endangering Another.
