It was a happy ending to a missing woman and child search at Silver Falls State Park in Marion County Sunday, Feb. 17. Deputies were called out about 3 a.m. Monday to help located the overdue 24-year old female and her three-year old son at the popular park near Salem. The two went hiking with the female’s 25-year old boyfriend about noon, but they got separated from the group that they were with and the male went for help. The mother and child were found about 8:30 a.m. on the Rim Trail inside the park. They were cold, wet, and had some scratches from the underbrush, but otherwise safe.
