On October 21, 2015 at about 2:38AM, OSP Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a motorcycle crash on Highway 34 at milepost 7 (near Tangent). Upon arrival on scene, emergency crews found the motorcyclist, Adam R SCOTT, age 36, of Albany, deceased. Preliminary information indicates SCOTT was traveling eastbound on Highway 34 when he failed to negotiate a curve and struck a signpost which was in the median between the eastbound and westbound lanes. The crash was witnessed by a friend who was following him. Highway 34 was closed for approximately 3.5 hours while the investigation was conducted. OSP was assisted by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Tangent Fire, Albany Fire and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
