Tyler Yeager swept the Talent competition and raised the most money en route to being crowned Mr. MHS 2015 at the high school’s Auditorim Saturday night in Coos Bay. Proceeds raised go to help the Share Bear Snack Pack Program for area youth. Jennifer Bunnell, Corridinator of the MHS Pageant: “I just wanted to thank all of the Coos Bay School District staff and board members that attended the Mr. MHS pageant Saturday night. For those of you that couldn’t make it, Tyler Yeager was crowned Mr. MHS 2015. Tyler also was awarded best talent and most money raised. Derek Payne was awarded Mr. Congeniality and Ashley Peters was awarded best senior girl. All of the contestants, coordinators, and senior girls worked very hard to make their year a success and managed to raise over $17,000. I also wanted to give a special thank you to the following people: Kelly Haut, auditorium manager, for all the extra time and effort she gives us to help pull off the pageant. Kevin Wilhite and Trevor Edd for volunteering to film and edit the Mr. MHS video year after year. Joe Walker and Tim Wall for calculating scores for us every year. Janet Saint for helping contestants when they want to dance as their talent. Steve Walker for allowing kids to cut music in the radio station every year. Greg Mulkey for trying to schedule events around the pageant and practices so kids don’t miss games and matches. Tammie Montiel and Catherine Hampton for coaching the volleyball against NB every year. Steve Schneiderman and Rex Young for helping with the steak feed every year. Scott Stockert and Brian Hampton for helping Kelly with last minute technical issues. Doug Holland, Janet Holland, Debbie Brown, Sierra Pedro, and Ty Bunnell for judging the pageant. This was my 10th pageant and every year I am blown away by how proud I am of our students for stepping outside their comfort zone and putting on a great show. The Mr. MHS junior coordinators are already busy making plans for next year’s program and we will continue to raise money and volunteer to help end child hunger in our community. Again, thank you for your support.” Jennifer Bunnell, Mr. MHS Advisor. Bryan Trendell MHS Administration. “Thank you Jennifer for your hard work and time to make this a quality event that is fun to watch and most importantly helps our kids who need the support. Congratulations to Tyler and all the boys and the girls who worked so hard this year. GO PIRATES!!”
