On Thursday, December 1, 2016, at 6:20 pm, Douglas County Emergency Communications received a 9-1-1 call about a multi vehicle collision at the intersection of Garden Valley Road and Old Garden Valley Road. Deputies responded along with Fire Department and EMS personnel. Deputies determined that a white 2003 GMC Yukon driven by Lacey Garrigus, age 31 of Roseburg, was making a left hand turn from Garden Valley Road onto Old Garden Valley Road when her vehicle was struck by an oncoming gold 2005 Chevy Impala driven by 77 year old Lonnie Leonard of Umpqua. The impact of the collision pushed the Yukon into a 2013 gray Toyota Tundra which was stopped the intersection. The Tundra was operated by David Hals, age 37 of Winston. All of the involved parties were treated and released at the scene by EMS. The Yukon and Impala were towed due to the extensive damage.
