One week after dropping entrance fees to National Parks around the Country, the National Park Service reversed itself on Tuesday, March 24, and announced the closure of most National Parks. That includes Crater Lake in Oregon. Park officials say it is a temporary closure to help fight the spread of the COVID-19 virus across the United States. Other closures in Oregon include the Lewis & Clark National Historic Park & John Day Fossil Beds.
