City Administrator Report to the City Council Feb. 28, 2023 – The North Bend Ice Skating Rink has closed for the season and will reopen after Thanksgiving. The first season was a huge success, with thousands of skaters and multiple private parties booked. Les’s Sanitary Service sponsored even a free skate day. The Ice Rink attracted locals and tourists from all over. An official detailed statics report will be completed soon. The event tent will now be used for various events until the Ice Rink opens again. ▪ The first event will be held Saturday, March 18, to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day. The Saint Patty’s Day Block Party starts with local performers at noon. Then get ready to party with Captain Blue band from Roseburg during a free concert hosted by the City of North Bend. Inside the event tent, this danceable rock and roll band will be playing from 3:00-6:00 pm.
