Posted by City Hall on Mar 19, 2020 Based on recent recommendations from the State of Oregon and Oregon public health experts, the City of North Bend is implementing the following measures to slow the spread of COVID-19 in North Bend: 1. City of North Bend government buildings and offices will be closed to the general public. This includes North Bend City Hall, the North Bend Police Department, North Bend Fire Department, North Bend Public Library, North Bend Indoor Swimming Pool. The North Bend City Council and management team will evaluate continued office closures on a weekly basis. 2. North Bend Police and Fire Departments and North Bend Public Works Crews will continue to respond to emergency calls. For non-emergency police matters contact dispatch at 541-756-3161. In the event of an emergency, call 9-1-1. 3. New construction or permits that require larger plans may be submitted by calling the Building Department at 541-756-8525 and making an appointment for dropping the plans off or picking up a permit. 4. Planning and Land Use applications are available online at https://www.northbendoregon.us/forms. Completed forms may be submitted online or by calling 541-756-8525 and making an appointment for dropping the forms off or picking up a permit. 5. City staff will continue to work while offices remain closed to the public. If you have a question for a staff member, City staff are available through email and telephone. A staff directory can be found on the City’s website at https://www.northbendoregon.us/ 6. All City Committee and Commission meetings scheduled over the next three weeks have been canceled. 7. The City is evaluating moving all previously scheduled City Council meetings to a virtual meeting platform. Meeting details will be released Monday, March 30th, 2020 regarding how upcoming meetings can be attended. Public comment is suspended for these meetings. All other City boards and commission meetings scheduled over the next three weeks have been canceled.
