City of North Bend release – It is our goal to re-open the North Bend Municipal Pool by May 1, 2023. We are still awaiting the filtration system to ship, which should occur next week. This will replace the original filtration system from the 1950s. The variable frequency drive to operate the pumps ought to have shipped, so our contractor is awaiting delivery. The contract engineers are expected to begin testing and training city staff on the new equipment and upgrades the first week of March 2023. The filling of the pool should occur simultaneously. In the interim, our Aquatic Director will work with our administrative staff to recruit, hire, train, and certify the lifeguards. The jobs will be posted at https://www.northbendoregon.us/jobs
