City of North Bend release – Beginning on Tuesday, November 16th, the City of North Bend’s Contractor Laskey Clifton Inc. will be closing Madrona St. between Virginia and Connecticut Ave. to replace the sanitary sewer and disabled access ramps. Temporary closures of this street segment, primarily from California Ave. to Connecticut Avenue, will occur for this week. The entire street segment will have the street removed and replaced; however, this will be scheduled around weather windows, needing approximately one week of dry weather. Construction is expected to be complete in mid-January of 2022. Motorists are requested to utilize alternate routes as only residents and emergency traffic will have limited access through these sections of roadway between 7 am and 6 pm during the construction. Note that segments of the road will be rough until paving completes the project. We will send out an additional notice once the paving schedule is established.
