Visiting North Bend swept Marshfield in 4A Far West League softball doubleheader at Coos Head Field in Coos Bay Thursday. The Bulldogs won the opener 13-0 (6) and took the second game 7-1. The two teams end the regular season next week. North Bend (8-4, 14-7) has Siuslaw and Marshfield (6-6, 12-9) has Douglas on Monday and Thursday.

Marshfield and North Bend split their Far West League twinbill Thursday at Clyde Allen Field in North Bend. The league leading Bulldogs won the opener 8-4, but the Pirates took the nightcap 9-8. Both teams end the regular season next week with North Bend (10-2, 11-8) vs. Siuslaw and Marshfield (4-8, 5-12-1) against Douglas Monday and Thursday of next week.
