Bay Area Rivalry sw
North Bend’s boys and girls swept Marshfield in a Bay Area Rivalry swim meet at the Mingus Park Pool in Coos Bay Thursday afternoon. The Bulldog girls prevailed 108-62, while the boys won 97-72. In the girl’s meet, North Bend won all but two races. Marshfield freshman Anna Hutchins had the Pirates’ two wins in the 100 Fly (1:02.87) and the 500 Free (5:25.61). Cassie Dallas (100 Free 57.02 & 100 Breast 1:12.14) and Vianka Hoyer (100 Back 1:06.70 & 50 Free 25.89) each won two events for the Bulldogs. In the boy’s meet, North Bend won all but one event. The Pirates’ Jack Larson took the 100 Breast (1:16.25). North Bend was led by Jerrad Perez-Duncan (200 Free 1:49.48 & 500 Free 4:56.13) and Karl Stuntzner-Gibson (200 IM 2:06.77 & 100 Free 50.90) each with two wins.
