North Bend’s boys travel to Klamath Falls Saturday to take on Henley, 2p.m., in an OSAA 4A soccer match. The Bulldog girls will host Brookings-Harbor Saturday, 2 p.m.

Marshfield opens the OSAA 4A state volleyball tournament against Sutherlin this morning, 10 a.m., at Forest Grove High School. The winner advances to a 6:30 p.m. semi-final match, while the loser drops into consolation play with a match Saturday morning. The first match will be on KMHS FM 91.3, while the second match, if the Pirates win their opener, will be on KMHS AM 1420. Both radio stations stream their broadcasts so anyone around the world can listen.

Both North Bend and Marshfield are in the First Round of the OSAA 4A football playoffs tonight. The Bulldogs are at home at Vic Adams Field, 6 p.m., to play Astoria for the second time this year. The Fishermen won the earlier game handing North Bend one of its two losses on the year. Twice beaten Marshfield travels to one beaten Molalla in another first round game at 7 p.m. The winners advance to the championship quarter-final round next weekend, while the loser’s seasons come to an end. The football game will be broadcast live on KMHS FM 91.3, and streamed on the Internet around the world.
