Booster Clubs
The Marshfield and North Bend booster clubs meet today at noon. The Bulldogs will gather at the high school’s Hall of Champions, while the Pirates meet at Abby’s Pizza in Coos Bay. Both meetings are open to those interested in Bay Area high school sports.

FWL vb
Third ranked Marshfield closed out the first half of the 4A Far West League volleyball season with a 3-0 win over visiting Douglas in Coos Bay Tuesday night. The unbeaten Lady Pirates won 25-12, 25-20, 25-18 to improve to 5-0 in the FWL and 14-0 overall. Senior McKenzie Allison led the team with 20-kills, while junior Shaylynn recorded 28-assists. Senior Libero Carly Clarkson added three aces, and had a team high nine digs. Douglas falls to 2-3, 4-5. Marshfield’s JV team also swept the Trojans, 2-0. Other FWL matches, South Umpqua, tied for second place, downed visiting Brookings-Harbor 3-0 (25-14, 25-9, 25-13) in Tri City. The Bruins are 0-5, 1-12. No score available on North Bend at Siuslaw.

North Bend’s boys won the battle of 4A Far West League unbeaten soccer teams Tuesday night with a 5-0 win over visiting Brookings-Harbor at Vic Adams Field. The Bulldogs improve to 4-0 in the FWL and 8-0 overall. The Bruins are 3-1, 3-3-2. North Bend’s girls also bettered Brookings-Harbor, 2-0, while in Coos Bay, Marshfield handed visiting South Umpqua a 2-1 setback. The Bulldogs are 4-0 in the FWL and 8-0 overall, while second place Brookings-Harbor is 3-1, 5-2-1. Marshfield improves to 2-2 in the FWL and 2-6 overall. No score available on the Marshfield boys and South Umpqua.

North Bend’s boys were third to Brookings-Harbor and Bandon, while the Bulldogs girls were third to Bandon and South Umpqua, at the Pacific High Invitational cross country meet at Cape Blanco, north of Port Orford, Tuesday. The Bulldog boys were led by senior Alberto Ramirez-Garcia’s second place finish in 18:31.6. He was followed by 21 Jacob Adams 19:57.66; 22 Patton Reid 19:58.22; 27 Colton West 20:55.6; 36 Jaxun Newsom 21:43.28; 39 Chephren Sinko 21:52.25; 41 Shane Keeling 22:02.54; 42 Grady Hampel 22:48.51; 49; 50 Patrick Monsebroten 23:54.97.
