North Bend’s track team competed at the Central Coast Invitational at Florence on Friday. Sophomore Alexander Garcia-Silver won the 3,000 in 9:17.17. Senior Eli Bogatin won the 300IH in 48.17. The team of Drew Phillips, Sam Mickelson, Ethan Ingram and Jason Padget won the 400R in 45.35. Junior Roman Fritz won the Shot Put at 40-10. Senior Josiah Jensen won the Discus at 123-03. Fritz also won the Javelin at 164-0. Teammate Keegan Young, a sophomore, placed second at 154-05. Freshman Lennon Riddle led the North Bend girls by capturing the Pole Vault at 9-04. North Bend won the boy’s team race, while Philomath took the girls. The Bulldogs are slated to host a meet on Saturday, May 1.
