City of North Bend release – Please join the North Bend Police Department in congratulating Officer Aaron Mayo on graduation from the Department of Public Safety Standards & Training’s 16-week Basic Police Academy on Friday, January 20, 2023. Attending the graduation was North Bend Police Officer White, Sgt. Perry, Chief McCullough, and Captain Mitts. Officer Mayo is the first of three new police officers to be sent to the academy. He returned to North Bend to complete two more phases of in-house training before heading out on patrol alone come April 2023, when Captain Mitts will take over as Police Chief. Congratulations and welcome back, Officer Mayo!
