According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, Aug. 6, 4:38 p.m., 2300 block Broadway Ave., “male at location attempting to cash a washed check,” 24-year old Chaz Michael Leaton charged with Possession Forged Instrument, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, 9-counts of Possession of Burglary Tools. “Subject will be referred to DA for PCS Schedule 1 and Forgery 1. Transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
