According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, Dec. 19, 8:47 a.m., 2300 block Tremont Ave., “suspicious box left on bench inside restaurant. Wrapped in yellow tape, states don’t open until 12/24. Officer responded/advised it contained gifts for the waitresses inside.”
Jumping in Traffic
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, Dec. 19, 12:13 p.m., Marion & 11th St., “male subject with a large stick jumping in traffic/yelling,” 47-year old Michael Dean Rogers, North Bend, cited in lieu of arrest on Florence PD warrant charging Attempted Theft I, “referred to DA Office for PCS Meth. Subject given courtesy ride to BAH for a knee injury.”
Assault
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2:43 a.m., 800 block Vermont Ave., “RP request to speak to officer about a domestic issue,” 21-year old Chelsie Derby, Coos Bay, charged with Assault IV Domestic and transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille. “Referred to DA’s Office on fraudulent use of credit card.”
