According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Sunday, May 7, 10:35 p.m., 600 block Commercial St., “911 report of juvenile assaulting father. Juvenile placed into protective custody and transported to Coquille, custody handed over to Juvenile Dept. Juvenile is 13 year old female of North Bend, charges: Assault IV, Harassment, and Criminal Mischief.”

Entries on the NBPD logs for Sunday, May 7, involving “transients or individuals.” At 11:58 a.m., 1611 Virginia Ave., Pony Village Mall, “male transient pacing, talking to himself with beer in back pocket,” 46-year old Paul Khouri taken into custody on charges of Criminal Trespass II and transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille. Cited for Criminal Trespass II. At 12:28 p.m., 2300 block Everett St., “Criminal Mischief, male subject stabbed pice of cardboard in RP garbage can with machete while walking down the street. Officer responded / subject was advised to leave other people’s garbage alone.” Seventeen year old male “Contacted.” At 10:38 p.m., Sherman & Newmark, “RP reported suspicious subject wearing a trench coat stumbling into traffic and walking into people’s yards. No officer available, CBPD checked area, was unable to locate. Gone prior to arrival.” 5/8 at 2:03 a.m., Broadway & Public Square, “RP reported suspicious subject in roadway screaming. Officers contacted female, she was advised to stay out of roadway. Handled by officer.” Fifty-year old female “Contacted.”
