NBPL hosts anniversary party for the Hubble telescope, April 24

At 2 pm on Friday, April 24, North Bend Public Library welcomes SWOCC physicist and NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador Doctor Aaron Coyner to speak in a Zoom meeting to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Hubble telescope. The Hubble Space Telescope was first sent into space April 24, 1990 aboard the space shuttle Discovery, and the data it has collected continues to lead to new discoveries about our planet, our solar system, and even about the whole universe. Doctor Coyner has spoken previously at local libraries, and as a NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador, he speaks often about the latest discoveries from NASA’s missions. The Zoom meeting information will be sent out once it is available, and will be listed on the NBPL website and Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/NorthBendPublicLibraryOregon/.
