The North Bend Public Library will be livestreaming two forums next week for candidates of the 4th Congressional District and the Oregon House of Representatives District 9. The Zoom forums are being presented by the League of Women Voters of Lane County, the Springfield City Club, and the City Club of Eugene, and livestreamed by area libraries. The first forum, for Oregon House of Representatives District 9, will be held Monday, October 3rd at 4 pm. The candidates at the forum will be incumbent Representative Boomer Wright and challenger Jerry Rust. NBPL will livestream this Zoom event on Facebook and also offer seating in the library’s meeting room for those who wish to view this forum in a group setting. The second forum, for candidates of the 4th Congressional District, will be held Thursday, October 6th at noon. NBPL will livestream this over Facebook only. The candidates for this race are Mike Beilstein (Pacific Green Party), Jim Howard (Constitution Party), Val Hoyle (Democratic Party), Levi Leatherberry (Independent Party), and Alek Skarlatos (Republican Party). Apart from Mr. Skarlatos, all candidates have committed to attend.
