This month’s theme is Gobble Gobble. Stop by the library to pick up a kit for kids who are school age (5-12) and preschool (3-4). Each kit contains crafts, book suggestions, coloring pages, recipes, and more! Supplies are limited. Available for pickup by November 5. It’s Dinovember! Dinosaurs are loose in the library! Every week we will have a new dinosaur craft or game at the library. Complete your dinosaur activity sheet and then visit the library during open hours to receive a Dinosaur Expert Certificate! Don’t forget to follow along on Facebook and Instagram to see what mischief our dinosaur friends get up to. Little Bites – Every Tuesday, Miss Laura presents songs, rhymes, and flannel stories for children 6 or under. (But you can watch them, too!) On NBPL’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. For Adults: A Vegetarian at my Thanksgiving Table? You’ve planned the meal and invited the guests.. and you’ve just found out someone’s changed what they eat. You will still have a welcoming table and a tasty new dish with a booklet of recipes and a little spice. Starting November 15, the North Bend Public Library is giving a booklet of recipes, many of which have been tested by your friends and neighbors. You could make an entirely plant-based meal if you want – starters, entrees, sides and desserts are included. We’ll also give you some turmeric: healthy, tasty, and just the right color for the season. Happy Thanksgiving from NBPL!
