Pat Furay returns to the North Bend Public Library to talk again about backyard chicken raising. At 2:30 pm on Saturday, February 1, 2020 come hear an overview in the selection and raising of backyard chickens. Topics covered will be: choosing a breed of chicken to fit your needs, egg production, laws and stewardship, tools & equipment needed, coop & pens, feeding, and health and disease. Pat Furay is from Coquille and is a 4-H Poultry Leader. She is also the Coos County Fair Poultry Barn Superintendent.
