Hayward Field, Eugene – USC won the women’s NCAA Track & Field Championship Saturday at Hayward Field on the University of Oregon campus, Eugene. The Trojans tallied 74 points, helped by a sweep of the hurdles races from Anna Cockrell. The Ducks finished tied for 11th in the team scoring. Locally, in the women’s 3000 Steeplechase Roseburg native Mahala Norris of Air Force won. Oregon’s men were second to LSU 84-53 and had three individual champions Friday. Emmanuel Ihemeje TJ (56.2.75), Cooper Teare 5000 (13:12.27), and Cole Hocker 1500 (3:35.35).
