UO release – EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon women’s golf head coach Derek Radley officially announced the hiring of Krissy Carman as the Ducks’ new assistant coach on Monday morning. A native of Canby, Ore., who now lives in Eugene, Carman played two seasons at Oregon State before transferring to Portland State for her final two years of college eligibility. After taking three years off from competitive golf following the birth of her son, Carman returned to the game and won the 2022 USGA Mid-Amateur Championship. She will compete at the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open this weekend at historic Pebble Beach Golf Links. “We are thrilled to welcome Krissy to our Oregon family as our new assistant coach,” Radley said. “We searched the nation for the very best fit for our program, and we found it right in our own backyard. Krissy is a winner with an incredible work ethic and ability to relate to others. Our student-athletes are going to absolutely love working with her and I am so excited to have her by my side.”
