The New Year will bring changes to the leadership of the Oregon School Boards Association (OSBA), including a new executive director and Board officers. Effective Jan. 1, the OSBA Board of Directors will be led by President Betty Reynolds (West Linn-Wilsonville). Rounding out the officers are President-elect LeeAnn Larsen (Beaverton), Vice President Tass Morrison (North Santiam) and Secretary-treasurer Don Cruise (Philomath). Jim Green, who has been the association’s deputy executive director since March 2012, will take over as executive director. He succeeds Betsy Miller-Jones, who is retiring. Reynolds said she looks forward to 2017. “I’m excited to be working with our elected leaders, partners, communities, and families to support public education,” Reynolds said. “If we pull together, we can help all kids achieve.” OSBA is a member services agency for more than 200 locally elected boards serving school districts, education service districts and community colleges. It also provides services to charter schools and their boards.
