There are two large runs on the Oregon Coast each year. In Coos Bay, it’s the annual Prefontaine Memorial Run in September, and this weekend on the Central Coast it’s the 25th Annual Newport Marathon along Yaquina Bay and River. The event takes place Saturday morning, June 1st, with a walk, half-marathon and full 26.2-mile marathon which serves as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.
