The individual allegedly responsible for four homicides in North Bend on June 18, was arraigned in a Coos Co. Courtroom at Coquille Friday afternoon, Aug. 6. According to District Attorney R. Paul Frasier, 30-year old Oen Evan Nicholson faced “a secret sixteen (16) count indictment returned by the Coos County Grand Jury on July 28, 2021. The indictment charges Mr. Nicholson with twelve (12) counts of Murder in the First Degree, two (2) counts of Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver to Injured Persons and two (2) counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person. A not guilty plea was entered on behalf of Mr. Nicholson.” A status conference has been set for Oct. 1. Nicholson is being held under a bail of $8 million dollars in the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille. He is accused of killing his 83-year old father Charles Nicholson, a husband and wife 74-year old Anthony Oyster and 73-year old Linda Oyster 73, and a clerk in a marijuana dispensary, 47-year old Jennifer Davidson, before fleeing the South Coast. He reportedly kidnapped a woman in Springfield before forcing her to drive him across the country to Wisconsin where he eventually surrendered to authorities.
