The Coos Bay-North Bend Water Board will be replacing a water main on Pine Avenue and North 8th Street in Coos Bay from Highway 101 to Koosbay Boulevard, a distance of about 2,000 feet. Construction work will begin the week of June 30 with completion by November 1, 2014. The Water Board’s contractor, Laskey-Clifton Corporation, will work Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. The contractor will close Pine Avenue one block at a time during installation of the water main. Pine Avenue will be re-opened each evening to local traffic. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes when practical.
