News release CCSO. On 03/22/2017, at approximately 0114 hours, Deputies received a report of a suspicious vehicle on North Bay Road near milepost 3. While responding, Deputies received further information that a male and female had returned to the truck with property and were trying to leave the area. The complainant contacted the subjects and the female fled the scene. Deputies arrived on scene and detained the male subject. During the course of an investigation it was learned that the male and female had unlawfully entered into the residence of 67145 North Bay Road and removed several items from the house and garage, including multiple firearms. Deputies received assistance from North Bend Police Department, Oregon State Police in an attempt to locate the female subject. Utilizing the Coos County K9 “Odin”, the female was located and arrested. The male and female were identified as Michael and Rachelle Shamoon who are transients in the Hauser area. Both Michael and Rachelle were arrested and transported to the Coos County Jail. Michael Shamoon was charged with Burglary I, Burglary II, Theft I and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Michael is currently being held in lieu of $210,000 bail. Rachelle Shamoon was charged with Burglary I, Burglary II, and Theft I. Rachelle is currently being held in lieu of $150,000 bail.
