City of North Bend release – Local and state elected and appointed officials were on hand Wednesday, Dec. 14th, for the ribbon cutting ceremony of the BottleDrop facility in North Bend. The facility features some really cool technology that is only in use in Oregon, which allows customers to have their containers rapidly counted through a bulk image counting device that uses artificial intelligence and a neural network to recognize and count containers, saving customers lots of time. North Bend is home to the second such facility in the Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative system to deploy this technology.
