North Bend Christmas, Dec. 1

Annual Tree Lighting & Festival on Main…. Start your Saturday off right at the North Bend Fire Department on McPherson Avenue, and join us for Waffles with Santa! It’s a huge hit with the little ones, and they’ll even receive a new wrapped complementary free book from Santa! Don’t forget to pile up your waffles with all the toppings you can think of. While there, you can visit the Miss Flame Court and reserve your spot with our online registration. After filling your tummy, gather around and listen to stories read by Mrs. Claus. Get your wiggles out with some sing-along dances before getting busy writing to Santa with help from our library staff. And to make things even more magical, you’ll even get to make reindeer food to spread to Santa’s helpers! But the fun doesn’t stop there! Be one of the first to skate on the ice rink as we kick off the season. This is the only ice skating rink on the Oregon Coast, so don’t miss your chance to glide across the ice and make memories. Plus, on this special opening day, skate rentals will be free! Don’t forget to show off your festive outfits as you enjoy all the family-friendly activities. Additional daytime activities include Christening Opry at Liberty Theater and Elf on the Shelf in downtown businesses. Be sure to do some Christmas shopping with local businesses as you enjoy the day strolling place to place. And to top it all off, gather in the Christmas tent downtown North Bend for even more holiday fun! Enjoy caroling, dance performances, face painting, crafting, and even a Santa petting zoo. It’s the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit with your loved ones. Food trucks will also be set up and serving from 11:00 am – 7:00 pm. At 5:00 pm join us as we gather around Grant Circle for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting. Santa and Mayor Engelke will light the tree. Everyone can then head to festival tent to visit with Santa. Be sure to stay warm with a completely cup of coco. At 7:00 pm it’s parade time with the Lighted Truck Parade! Line the streets in downtown North Bend to witness this magical display of holiday sprit. A verity of vehicles will circle twice showing off their lights. The parade route is next to the holiday happenings, so no need to drive. We can’t wait to see you all for the most wonderful time of the year. Downtown North Bend is the plaza to be on December 2nd.
