A 35-year old Coos Bay male was arrested Monday after he reportedly was driving in excess of 100 miles and hour on Virginia Ave. in North Bend just prior to a crash at Marion Street about 8:30 a.m. Philip Parsons was taken into custody after his grey 2006 BMW crashed into a Honda Pilot followed by a power pole. Both drivers were transported to Bay Area Hospital. Parsons has been referred to the Coos Co. District Attorney’s office for Reckless Driving and other possible charges.
