Booster Clubs
The Marshfield and North Bend booster clubs meet today at noon. The Bulldog backers will gather in the high school’s Hall of Champions, while the Pirate supporters meet at Abby’s Pizza in Coos Bay. Both meetings are open to those interested in local high school sports.

North Bend runs its winning streak to 18 games, and Marshfield stays one game behind with a final regular season home win against visiting Douglas Tuesday night in 4A Far West League basketball play. The Bulldogs (7-0, 18-0) downed South Umpqua (3-4, 13-7) 46-29 in Tri City, while the Pirates (6-1, 16-5) beat the Trojans (0-7, 5-15) 61-27 in Coos Bay. Brookings-Harbor (4-3, 7-14) takes over sole possession of third place with a 52-46 win at Siuslaw (1-6, 4-12) in Florence. Three games remain in the regular season.

Marshfield’s girls (5-2, 13-8) moved into a tie for second place in the 4A Far West League basketball race with a 38-27 win over Douglas (5-2, 12-8) Tuesday night in Coos Bay. There are three games remaining in the regular season. Brookings-Harbor (7-0, 15-4) continues to lead the league with a 56-51 win at Siuslaw (1-6, 3-14), and North Bend (3-4, 9-9) won at South Umpqua (0-7, 1-19) 63-27.
