NBHS Cheer Fundraiser
The NBHS Competition Cheer Team is having a Can and Bottle Drive this Saturday, Feb. 8, from 10:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. at the Pony Village Mall Main Entrance. Please come support the girls and drop off your cans and bottles.

NBHS Dog Bowl
Fun was had by all in the first North Bend High School Dog Bowl at North Bend Lanes Wednesday, Feb. 5. The Bowling team came in first with 1279 pins, the Wrestling team was 2nd with 892 pins, the Swim team had 777 pins, and taking home the trophy was the Football team with a total of 753 pins. Football Coach Gary Prince said they would be back next year to defend their trophy against all challengers.

Crook to Utah
On National Letter of Intent Day, Wednesday, Feb. 5, Marshfield’s Shaylen Crook signed with Utah.  The Pirate senior won the state 4A cross country title last fall and is also a distance runner on the Marshfield track team.

North Bend takes on Marshfield in a Bay Area Rivalry Swim Meet at the Mingus Park Pool, 3 p.m., in Coos Bay today.

North Bend travels to Sutherlin tonight for a couple of 4A Far West League basketball games tonight.  Marshfield’s games at Siuslaw in Florence were postponed due to the cold weather on the Central Coast.
