NBHS Football Fund-Raiser
North Bend Football is selling cords of firewood to help raise funds for their annual team retreat.  Purchase your cord of firewood for $150 by Tuesday, June 1st and it will be delivered to your driveway no later than Saturday, June 21st.  If you have any questions, or would like to place an order, contact Coach Prince at gprince@nbend.k12.or.us.  All orders are on a first come, first serve basis.

Booster Clubs
The Marshfield and North Bend Booster Clubs meet today at noon.  The Bulldog backers gather at the high school’s Hall of Champions, where lunch is $7, and the Pirate supporters meet at Abby’s Pizza in downtown Coos Bay.  Both meetings are open to all of those interested in supporting local high school sports.

Marshfield’s softball team ended the 2014 regular season with a seventh straight 4A Far West League win at Sutherlin (1-15, 1-22) 14-4 in five innings Tuesday.  The Lady Pirates (12-6, 15-10) will now have to wait for the OSAA Power Rankings to freeze on Sunday night to see if they are in the upcoming playoffs.  First place South Umpqua (14-2, 16-7) bounced back from two losses to Marshfield Monday with a 4-2 win over second place Douglas (12-4, 15-6) at Tri City.  Brookings-Harbor (12-4, 18-5) moved into a share of second with a win at North Bend (2-14, 4-17).  Siuslaw (4-12, 4-14) had the bye.

First place North Bend (15-1, 15-8) won at fourth place Brookings-Harbor (7-7, 11-9) 5-3 Tuesday in a 4A Far West League baseball game.  Second place Siuslaw (9-5, 11-7) had a bye.  Third place South Umpqua (9-7, 12-10) won at Douglas (7-9, 8-15) 13-2, and Sutherlin (3-13, 3-19) won at Marshfield (5-13, 6-18) 8-2.
