The first official day of Winter Sports Practice is Monday, November 18th. Winter Sports include Basketball, Cheer, Swimming and Wresting.

North Bend’s football team advanced to the semi-final round of the 4A state playoffs with a 21-20 win at Scappoose Friday night. The Bulldogs (10-1) will next play the only team to have beaten them this season, Cottage Grove. The Lions (9-2) won 39-38, in overtime, at North Bend back on Sept. 13. CG has not lost to an Oregon team this season after opening the fall campaign with a loss in Hawaii (41-21), and then to Sutter, CA 61-26. The Lions advanced with a 42-38 win over visiting Central. North Bend and Cottage Grove will play Saturday, 6 p.m., at Autzen Stadium in Eugene.
