According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Tuesday, Feb. 11, 9:37 a.m., 2500 block Liberty St., “RP reported a possible large cat that has been scratching at the trees in his year.  RP states his neighbor also noticed the problem.  Ongoing problem for the last year.  RP noticed fresh scratches today.  RP was referred to ODFW.”

According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Tuesday, Feb. 11, 9:47 a.m., “CCSO served NBPD valid” warrant on 53-year old Michael Robert Wright, Coos Bay, for Unlawful Possession Meth.

UEMV
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Tuesday, Feb. 11, 12:11 p.m., 2100 block Hamilton Ave., “RP came to station to report her vehicle was broken into and window broken out.  Officer respond and contacted the RP / advised report taken Criminal Mischief II, UEMV and Theft I, value $5,000 to $7,000.”

Meat Theft
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Tuesday, Feb. 11, 4:26 p.m., 1735 Virginia Ave., “Safeway reported a male subject had just left in his vehicle after taking a large amount of meat from the store.  Officers respond and identified the suspect / officer contacted him at home.”  Forty-one year old Jerad Ryan Slagle, Snorth Bend, charged with Theft II, value $112.55.  Warned for DWS Violation and permanently trespassed from Safeway and Mall property.  Subject released in lieu of custody.

Leg ran over
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Tuesday, Feb. 11, 5:34 p.m., 1800 block Sherman Ave., “South Coos 911 relayed info of medical emergency en route to NB Library, 10 year old male reportedly had his leg run over in Hauser area / deputy en route.”

Assault
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Tuesday, Feb. 11, 10:56 p.m., 3700 block Sherman Ave., “RP reported son came home and is fighting everyone at location.  They have him held down at the moment.”  Twenty-nine year old Garrett Nordquist, North Bend, taken into custody on charges of Assault IV Domestic, Menacing Domestic, Resisting Arrest, Attempted Assault on Public Safety Officer and Animal.”  Transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
