Suspicious
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Thursday, Dec. 26, 3:32 p.m., Lombard & Chester, “RP reports 12-28 male on foot headed southbound on Chester from Lombard carrying multiple items (leaf blower, stereo, VCR, etc.) walking very quickly as if he had stolen the items.  Officers responded.”  Thirty-year old Chad A. Tonso, Coos Bay, charged with Theft II, UEMV, and PCS Schedule I (Meth).  He was transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.  “Officer seized backpack with MJ, a stereo, a Stihl backpack style leaf blower.”

Vehicle pedestrian accident
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Thursday, Dec. 26, 3:18 p.m., Sherman & Florida, “vehicle vs. pedestrian accident.”  Fifty-three year old Martin A. Slagle, North Bend, was operating a 1999 Jeep Wrangler that struck 50-year old Mitcheal R. Tidwell, North Bend, who was transported to Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay.  Another entry stated “possible broken arm, broken leg and concussion.”

Disorderly
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Thursday, Dec. 27, 12:28 p.m., 1500 block Sherman Ave., “Ashworth’s employee reports male subject, approximately 35 yoa, 6’00”, light brown pants, black tennis shoes, black ‘Sons of Anarchy’ jacket, holding a can of beer, is harassing customers as they go out to their vehicles.  Officers responded.”  Forty-year old Kennith O. Weiderhold arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct II, and Criminal Trespass II.  Also cited for Consuming Alcohol on Unlicensed Premises and transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

Cart full of groceries
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Saturday, Dec. 28, 3:45 p.m., 1735 Virginia Ave., “Safeway reported a male shoplifter left a cart full of groceries in the parking lot and fled on foot northbound.  Officers respond and located the subject hiding in brush at Broadway Ave. & California Ave.”  Forty-seven year old Eric D. Ruston, Myrtle Point, arrested on charges of Theft II (value $269.44), Criminal Mischief II & Probation Violation.  Transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

Indecent
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Saturday, Dec. 28, 11:31 a.m., Broadway & Maine avenues.  “Officer contacted male subject at location who reportedly just urinated in public.  Officers contacted the subject visibly intoxicated / assisted by OSP trooper.”  Fifty-three year old Jedediah Hardy Parks, Coos Bay cited for Indecent Exposure.  Parole & Probation contacted, authorized detainer, Coos Co. Jail advised PO no further beds for subject.
