Some of the entries on the NBPD log for Monday, Feb. 9, involving the wind storm that swept through the Bay Area. 4:28 a.m., Marion & Virginia, “officer removed trash can from roadway at location.” 4:55 a.m., Virginia at Harbor Lights, “officer removed shopping cart from roadway at location.” 6:17 a.m., McCullough Bridge, “RP came to station and reported a piece of plywood that appeared to have fell from the railing and was partially in the roadway. ODOT notified.” 8:03 a.m., Chicken Walk, “female juvenile called advised a tree has fallen across the Chicken Walk. Not on street, on Chicken Walk. Officer responded/advised no tree down across the Chicken Walk at this time.” 8:15 a.m., Pony Ck./Crowell Lane, “officer removed downed tree from road at location.” 8:18 a.m., 1200 block Virginia Ave., “RP reported line down in Video & More parking lot. Officer responded/advised line not a hazard. Phone line only.” 8:29 a.m., 1400 block Airport Lane, “officer advised line down over roadway on Airport Lane. Pacific Power advised. Street Dept. placed cone and sand bags out until PP&L can respond.” 8:44 a.m., Sheridan Ave., “officer advised 30 mph sign knocked down at location. Laying in grass. ODOT notified.” 8:51 a.m., Virginia & Roosevelt, “officer reported a porta potty tipped over on side at location. Lil Stinker advised, will respond to handle.” 9:35 a.m., Waite St., “officer advised Waite Street near Kinney is flooded. Street Dept. advised, will handle.” 11:58 a.m., 3100 block Lakeshore Dr., “RP reported fence at location is down and llama’s are getting out, owner is trying to get them back inside the fence but she is having a hard time. Officers en route to assist.”

According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, Feb. 9, 12:08 p.m., Newmark & Oak, “anonymous RP reported male subject standing at corner at location. Subject was standing there 45 minutes ago and is still there. Subject has no shoes on. Subject has boots sitting next to him but he barefoot and just standing in the rain. Officers contacted subject, subject is waiting for a cab.”
