Shoplifter
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Sunday, Jan. 18, 2:27 p.m., 1611 Virginia Ave., “Big 5 reported a shoplifter just took an item and ran out, last seen headed eastbound on Virginia Ave. on foot. Officers respond and located him, Virginia Ave. & Hamilton St.” Thirty-one year old Daniel Robert Taylor, Coos Bay, charged with Theft III and PCS Schedule I Meth. Transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

Arson
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Sunday, Jan. 18, 6:54 p.m., 1900 block Virginia Ave., “RP request officers check on his daughter at location after she stated she was burned / RP request medical respond.” Thirty-nine year old William Scoville, North Bend, taken into custody on charges of Reckless Endangering, Assault I and Arson I. Thirty-year old Cortny Libbett, North Bend, taken into custody on two-counts of Probation Violation. She was also warned for PCS Less than an Oz. Marijuana “and it was destroyed.” Both transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

Entries on the North Bend Police log for Sunday, Jan. 18, involving Unauthorized Entry into Motor Vehicle reports. 7:27 a.m., 3201 Tremont Ave., “Mill Security reported UEMV in their hotel parking lot, stated the window was broken out.” 1:01 p.m., 2500 block Clark St., “RP reported his 2 vehicles entered sometime last night and change was taken from inside, also cash from his wallet but wallet was left behind.” 1:44 p.m., 2100 block State St., “RP reported her vehicles were entered sometime overnight, nothing found taken, believes they were trying to find change.”
