Wanted
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Sunday, July 6, 8:54 a.m., Sherman & Exchange, “off duty officer reported 12-24 subject walking at location.” Twenty-two year old Mathue Meighan, transient, taken into custody on NBPD warrant charging Failure to Appear on Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct II and Criminal Trespass II charges. Transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
Scissor attack
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Sunday, July 6, 9:57 a.m., 3400 block Oak St., “RP request officers after his elderly wife tried to attack him with scissors etc., involved parties currently separated. Officers respond / female taken to BAH for evauluation.”
Grocery theft
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Sunday, July 6, 4:59 p.m., 1735 Virginia Ave., Safeway, “Employee reported male subject walked out with full grocery cart totaling: $285.00 without paying. When they yelled after him he took off leaving the cart. Subject and female are now back in store. They are afraid they are going to attempt this again. Request an officer. Subjects were unable to locate; gone prior to arrival.”
Burglary
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Sunday, July 6, 7:46 p.m., 2200 block Ohio Ave., “reported that residence was broken into. Report taken for Burglary I, Theft I, and Criminal Mischief II.
