Hiding
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, March 21, 10:48 a.m., 2000 block Meade St., “RP reported suspicious subject walking down Meade St., doesn’t look like he’s OK, keeps hiding in the bushes. Officer located the subject,” 21-year old Donald Evan Bignell, Coos Bay, charged with Probation Violation and transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

Found one
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, March 21, 11:10 a.m., 1000 block Virginia Ave., “officer attempt warrant service at location / unable to locate suspect. Located 2nd wanted subject, NBPD served 2 CBPD valid warrants” charging 33-year old Steven Miles Robeson, Coos Bay, with Failure to Appear on original charge of Interfering, and Failure to Appear second degree. “P&P assisted with transported to CCJ.”

Rental Scam
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, March 21, 2:35 p.m., 1600 block Maxwell, “info on a scam. Subject states he replied to an ad for a rental” on the 1600 block Maxwell St. in Coos Bay, “that turned out to be a real estate listing in pending sale. RP notified the real estate co. already / logged for info.”

Battery thieves
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, March 21, 10 p.m., Virginia & Everett avenues, “RP reported he got call that subjects were stealing a battery out of vehicle in their lot. RP went to location and parked nearby and confronted 2 subjects as they walked out of the lot. Subjects ran and got into a van and took off. RP lost van on Brussells St.”
