Entry on the North Bend Police log for Friday, March 28, 8:35 a.m., 1800 block Johnson, “RP advised cat showed up on his porch, it has a small cloth on its head w/blood on it. Officer responded, cat had its head stock in a potato chip bag. Officer removed bag and the cat ran off.”

Easy arrest
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Friday, March 28, 4:57 p.m., “officer contacted possible wanted subject in front of the police department.” Thirty-eight year old Nikaelar Coasta, North Bend, arrested on warrants charging four-counts of ID Theft and Failure to Appear on four-counts of Theft of ID. Additional charge of PCS Schedule I Meth. Transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

DUII Pizza Delivery
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Friday, March 28, 8:10 p.m., 3201 Tremont Ave., Mill Casino Security reported a pizza delivery driver “possibly intoxicated, attempted to drive out the in, crashed into the curby, left vehicle and took off running.” Forty-six year old Frank Helm, North Bend, taken into custody on charges of DUII, Theft II and Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver. He was transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Saturday, March 29, 11:43 p.m., Nutwood & 11th, 19-yea rold Wyatt Griffith, Coos Bay, taken into custody on charges of DUII and DWS Misdemeanor. Also, cited for DWS Misdemeanor (DUII 0,07%); Driving Uninsured, and, Warned for VBR, Failure to Register Vehicle, Failure to Signal, Elude and Speed Racing. Juvenile referred for MIP Alcohol, vehicle impounded and tow letter sent to registered owner.
