According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Sunday, May 1, 9:50 a.m., Sherman & Tower, “officer contacted 2 subjects standing in the roadway at location,” 33-yea rold Kermit Maurice Gaston, Coos Bay, charged with Probation Violation and served Multnomah Co. SO warrant charging Theft II. “Officer contacted 3rd subject,” on the 3700 block of Sherman Ave. Thirty-one year old Garrett Matthew Nordquist, North Bend, served two NBPD valid warrants charging Failure to Appear on original charge of Resisting Arrest, and Failure to Appear on original charge of Menacing. Both transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
Loud & Offensive in Dugout
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Sunday, May 1, 1:16 p.m., Oak Street Park, “report of male subject being loud and offensive I dug out at baseball field,” 23-year old Patrick Mueller, transient, taken into custody on Reedsport PD warrant charging Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
Hit & Run at McDonald’s
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Sunday, May 1, 5:10 p.m., 3300 block Broadway Ave., “Hit & Run, vehicle vs. pedestrian in McDonald’s parking lot. Officer on scene at time of call / NB medical respond. Hit team call out. Suspect vehicle located in Coos Bay.” Vehicle was towed, “under investigation.”
Beer Can
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Sunday, May 1, 8:54 p.m., 1501 Virginia Ave., “attempt to located possible drunk driver info. Driver threw beer can out window at Taco Bell.” Teletype sent countywide for a blue Toyota.

According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Sunday, May 1, 11:07 p.m., 3201 Tremont Ave., Mill Casino, “officer assisting Fire with medical at location. Report of child in water. Officer advised not a child, male in his 20s. Subject out of water and refused medical.”
