North Bend Police Report, May 7

Hit & Run
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, May 5, 10:55 a.m., 1600 block Virginia Ave., “RP reported observing a hit & run accident.  Suspect fled and he followed suspect to Ocean Blvd./25th St.”  Suspect vehicle a blue Mazda pickup.  CBPD located suspect vehicle parked unattended on the 1900 block of Lawnridge Road in Coos Bay.  Report taken, under investigation.

Menacing
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, May 5, 7:33 p.m., 2400 block Ohio Ave., “RP reported he was at location visiting his mother and subject came out of the house with a gun and threatened him.  Subject’s father took subject back inside the residence.  RP is waiting outside in his pickup.  Offices contacted involved subjects.  Subject warned for Menacing.  Officer advised RP didn’t want to press charges.”

Burglary
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, May 5, 8:56 p.m., 1800 block of Grant St., “RP request officer respond for Burglary.”

Ashworth’s
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Tuesday, May 6, 5:23 a.m., 1585 Sherman Ave., Ashworth’s, “RP reported male subject at location and has been in restroom for long time and he keeps yelling at her.  RP would officer assisting in having the subject leave.  Officers contacted subject and he left location.  Subject tried ripping license plate off a vehicle after he left then went into someone’s yard.  Subject warned for trespass and then went back to Ashworth’s and then back to the yard he was in and got into a vehicle at that location.”  Fifty-three year old Mark Collins, Coos Bay, taken into custody on charges of Criminal Trespass II and UEMV.  “Subject permanently Trespassed from Ashworth’s.”
