Rental Scam?
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Tuesday, Nov. 3, 11:09 a.m., 600 block Crestview Dr., Reedsport, “North Bend resident reported someone trying to collect money to hold a rental property at location, advised it’s a scam and its not for rent. RP did not send any money but states he is sure someone will. RP wants the press to be notified. RP was given info on how to report to the FTC but hung up saying reporting it was useless. Info relayed to Reedsport PD.”

Tax Evasion Scam
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Tuesday, Nov. 3, 12:38 p.m., 93000 block Shutters Landing Lane, “RP reported a scam where the person claims to be the US Dept. of Treasury with a warrant for her arrest on Tax Evasion which she is positive is not true. Logged for info.”

Intoxicated at Simpson Park
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1300 block Sherman Ave., “NB Parks request officer for belligerent intoxicated male refusing to leave the shelter at Simpson Park. Officer respond and contacted the suspect / confirmed he was previous trespass from all NB parks. Subject advised to not return or he would go to CCJ, subject was also instructed not to ride his bike or he will be arrested for DUII.”

Grandson Scam
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1:26 p.m., 67000 block East Bay Dr., “RP reported a male subject claiming to be her grandson asked to send money to bail him out of jail. RP is aware this was a scam / she will call CCSO if the problem persists / logged for info.”

Another Scam
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Tuesday, Nov. 3, 3:10 p.m., 94000 block Willanch Ln., “RP received call from scam saying he could be paid 65 million if he sends the $499.00. RP will report any more issues to CCSO but was advised it will be logged.”

Whew!
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Tuesday, Nov. 3, 9:05 p.m., 2500 block Sherman Ave., “RP reported possible shots fired in the area. Heard boom, saw flash. House behind apartment complex on Sherman. Officers contacted subject, subject advised was accidental discharge when he was taking hunting rifle out of his truck.” Forty-year old male “Involved/Contacted.”
