According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, Oct. 26, 1:31 a.m., College Park, “officer conducted security checks at location. Officer contacted subject in restroom at location,” 23-year old Mathue Meighan cited and released for Criminal Trespass. “Subject reminded that he is trespassed from all NB city parks.”
Emergency Door
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, Oct. 26, 8:30 a.m., 2051 Newmark, Walmart, “officer assisted CBPD by attempt to locate suspicious male subject who ran out emergency door at Walmart and into the woods. Officer located suspect @ 2820 Alderwood, NB,” 20-year old Andrew Leland Gilbert, transient, taken into custody on Curry Co. warrants charging Probation Violation on Theft I and Offensive Littering and Criminal Trespass II. Transported to BAH and then Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
Purse thief
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, Oct. 26, 11:31 a.m., Broadway & California, “suspicious male walked in bushes carrying a purse.” At 11:52 a.m., 1900 block Madrona St., “UEMV, 1997 Volk Cab CN broken passenger side window. Stole purse. Officer responded/CBPD dog track. Purse located on Myrtle St., returned to victim, wallet missing.”
Intoxicated
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, Oct. 26, 1:29 p.m., Pony Ck. Ln./Crowell Ln., “male subject staggering down road, falling in street. Officer responded/advised subject is very intoxicated. Subject advised he is heading somewhere to sleep. Subject refused courtesy ride.”
Cougars?
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Monday, Oct. 26, 8:37 p.m., 2700 block 11th St., “RP reported 3 cougars in her backyard and sounds like they are attacking something.” Another entry at 12:10 a.m., Oct. 27, Tuesday, Myrtle & Connecticut, “report of cougar sighted in the area. Officers checked area and were unable to locate.”
